After you come in for your initial consultation, Wu Law Firm will be with you every step of the way during the filing process.

The initial consultation, which can be done in person or by phone, will comprise a discussion of your options. If you decide you want to pursue a Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 filing, a checklist will be provided and discussed as to what paperwork you will need to bring to the next meeting.

The second meeting, which will be in person, comprises filling out the forms listing out your assets and debts. The paperwork will then be filed onlinewithin 48 hours (time to double check every form) of completion.

We will then accompany you to the creditor (341) meeting to provide support and guidance.

After the meeting, if the creditors do not have lodge any valid objections, a final meeting to confirm that your debts have been discharged and you can start fresh.

The Primary Goal

The goal at Wu Law Firm is to provide you with as close to a pain free experience possible when applying for debt relief. Again, you have likely had to deal with a lot of stress already and the last thing you need is to worry that your attorney is not there to help you and just wants your fees. Therefore, feel free to ask questions along the way and there will be no charge for answering questions during the process (so long as the amount and length of questions are within reason).

Yu-Jui Ray Wu obtained his B.S.E. from the University of Iowa and his J.D. from Drake University in 2006. He has also been preparing tax returns and is knowledgable about the tax code and the interplay between the tax code and bankruptcy filing.
